Jeanie,
You asked if I had been hurting. I have had a few gallbladder attacks which
only lasted a couple hours and I did have pain from time to time with my hiatal
hernia which I had for years. But the last gallbladder attack didn’t go away
and I had to go to the ER. That’s when they did a CAT scan and found that my
hiatal hernia was twisted which requires surgery to correct before it twists
enough to block blood flow. So I really didn’t have much of a choice. I am so
glad that it is all behind me now. I have quit taking the tamoxiphen which
caused the blood clots but I don’t know how long that remains in my body. Just
trusting in God to take care of me at this point.
I sure wish you could get rid of that pain you have been living with for so
long.

I do have a cancer center. I go to the Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis, MO.
I have been very happy with them so I understand when you say it is hard to
change doctors when you have to, especially if you liked the previous ones.

My husband goes twice a year to see Dr Talpaz at the University of Michigan
Cancer Center. That is quite an expense but he has saved his life at least
twice. We have no CML specialists in our area.

God bless and keep you!
           Joyce in Southern Illinois
