You might want to check out Objecteering/UML Personal Edition at
http://www.objecteering.com.  I warn you though - it's not exactly simple,
but it's free, it's pretty darn powerful, and it supports XMI (so you can
export/import your models into another tool if you feel like it).  You can
also publish the model to RTF or HTML formats (the latter uses GIF for
images).
