If your requirements are purely around checking in/out and versioning files, then this might do it for you.
But to me, that it not content management, it is file management. Sure, files can be considered "content", but a source control system will not give you the ability to separate your content from it's layout. IMHO this is one of the most important features of a CMS. Some will differ in opinion I'm sure :) Cheers Ben -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Ron Hearn Sent: Thursday, 21 November 2002 6:04 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [cms-list] SourceForge used for CMS (was: Infodirect used for CMS) After my post, I discovered that Infodirect is our branded name for the application. It is based on SourceForge version 2.6 from VA Software (http://www.vasoftware.com/). Just visiting the VA site shows some CM functionality on the SourceForge product page.
