I re-sent one (slightly edited) after I received a message that I had included an "objectionable" word (taken out of context). I thought the message was from the list server, but maybe it was from your ISP. Not sure.
I often get triplicates from cms-list: 1 for the list, 1 for me, plus 1 extra for reasons unknown.
Stripping out all recipients except for the list seems to help.
