After using Vignette and homegrown CMS's for years, I just started
working for a company that uses divine. My first impression is that it's
well architected -- it relies heavily on the app server for things like
failover, which I think is a good thing. It comes with a sensible array
of content types, which are easily extensible.

My chief complaint so far is that the user interface is mostly
web-based, and it's not very well designed -- but that seems more like
something you figure out and get over, not a show-stopper. If you and/or
your developers are used to OOP principles and know Java, though, divine
seems ok.
