I couldn't agree more with Carlos. A closed proprietary CMS will get you
into trouble sooner or later but some systems are too open, meaning you
get just some sort of library of functions to build what you need and no
out-of-the-box features. 

I found that emagic keeps a right balance between both. You can be up
and running is a short time if you don't require any customization. If
you need to customize or integrate with a back-end, you have the API and
coding templates available. And, as Eva already mentioned, it is very
well documented.
