Although I haven't used the Red Hat CMS, I have used the Frontleaf CMS
which was written by some ex-ArsDigita people who wrote the ArsDigita CMS.  
It looks like they took what they learned and wrote it from the ground up
to fix what they percieved to design mistakes in the ArsDigita CMS.

All around, we're really happy with it at my workplace.  Most of the 
people who are using it were only familiar with FrontPage so we had a lot 
of features added to it so it would have similar functionality.

Might be worth checking out.  I think they're going to be realeasing it 
under the MPL so it'll be open-source.  http://www.frontleaf.com/
