Hi Chris You might want to check with Tony at www.cmswatch.com - he has some very valuable qualitiative information on different packages, as opposed to the quantitiative opinion-based results we'll be publishing.
We should be able to assist with a rough indication of ease of use / programming for a couple of open source packages. More later. -- J -----Original Message----- From: chris [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 28 January 2003 19:24 To: 'Jeremy McGee [Bassett]' Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [cms-list] CM system survey now open Thanks Jeremy, I am a computer science student and am doing a project to determine selection criteria for open source content management systems. My college teaches computer science by soliciting needed projects from non profit organizations and content management is a big need. With so many options out there, some organized simplistic method of selection is needed for these organizations. If anyone could point me to some helpful resources, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm currently reading Phil Suh's book on Content management systems. What I'm hoping to produce (unless it's already been done) is a grid of open source cms contrasting functionality and ease of use/implementation. If such a grid already exists, I'll ask permission from the author to present it and will focus my project on installing and testing different systems. Thank you for your time Sincerely Chris -- http://cms-list.org/ more signal, less noise.
