below my very short comments if it's helpful 1. I think a CM is broader than a WCM. For example, CM could be document management that manage documents in such way you can manage versions, work flow, authoring, publishing, indexing and so on. A WCM is more for web content and it manages content in such way that more detailed level of web elements (text, or chuck of text, graphics, links, attachments such as documents, and so on) 2. I think the role of a non-technical libn is critical in building CMS - in areas such as information auditing, information model, metadata and so on which are foundation pieces of CMS.
