You can set FTPSERVE up to allow an FTP to the z/VM RDR spool. An FTP ?might? Be faster than the IND$FILE.
As far as speeding up the IND$FILE, do you have the ability to set the buffer size to something like 32K instead of the 2k bytes ? Once there, a RDR driver would allow me to process the spool file, w/o needing the whole file on my VM ID.
