I downloaded the pipelines runtime library dated June 29, 2007 and
tried installing on a zVM 5.3 system. Everything went well until
I tried to run the PIPGHELP EXEC to extract the help files.
Partly into the exec, I get the following error:

FPLSFS1124E Incorrect namedef ACMS (a directory name must contain a period)
FPLMSG002I ... Processing "callpipe (end \ name PIPGHELP) |*: |tolab %COPY% |"
FPLMSG003I ... Issued from stage 4 of pipeline 1
FPLMSG001I ... Running "pipghelp"
FPLSCA004I ... Issued from stage 3 of pipeline 1 name "PIPGHELP"
FPLSCA001I ... Running "> LMDSK HELPPIPE ACMS"
Ready(01124); T=0.09/0.10 15:34:34

I placed a 'say in' instruction in the PIPGHELP REXX immediately after
the 'parse var in ...' statement to see what the problem was.
Here is the output:

 pipghelp

%COPY% PIPE HELPCMS

%COPY% PIPMOD HELPCMS

I ran this on a zVM 4.3 system and got the same errors. For now, I have
removed the mode_number variable in the following pipe stage in PIPGHELP REXX:

   'callpipe (end \ name PIPGHELP)',
      '|*:',
      '|tolab %COPY%',
      '|'append '>' fnw ft 'A'mode_number,
       wmenu

This will eliminate the problem but something appears to be wrong with
the input stream and how it is parsed because the variable mode_number does
not resolved to a numeric.

Anyone has seen this problem or is it just me?
Thanks in advance.
Aria.
