I've been working at a new job with Pipes for about six months now, with Hobart Spitz. It's so *good* to be plumbing again. I haven't had occasion to write before, though I have been following the list for years. Always enjoy reading it.
Remembering is another story. I suspect this has been answered more than once before, but: What's a simple idiom for 'emit a specified record iff there are no input records'? There being no 'not dam', the best I've come up with is spec 1-* 1 set #0+=1 eof if #0=0 then /yuck/ 1 else nowrite endif What am I missing? I also wonder why it doesn't work if I combine the conditions with if (eof() & #0=0). Not that I should; just wondering. -- Always carry a grapefruit, Treesong (Philip M. Cohen)
