Sure, but some people ya just can't help. And someone with a PIPE MODULE on their A-disk is going to be in a world o' hurt with various other things. And when the results are SO bizarre, you're likely to figure it out a lot faster than some random EXEC that might even do something *similar* to what you wanted and is called 27 levels deep. At least it reduces the world of things that can interfere by several orders of magnitude (assuming that end-users are far more likely to create EXECs than MODULEs). But even then, someone could, of course, have a MODULE that gets in the way of what you wanted to call. And so it goes. ...phsiii
