Thanks, Rob. I read your paper. It looks like a great companion to the rest of the lookup doc. The part about how to prevent it from running out of main storage looks more involved than anything I can get into right now.
Unfortunately my problem has not gone away. As I mentioned in another post, the global STOPERROR option and using EOFBACK CONSOLE had no effect at all on the run. So I am still looking for a way to make the pipe give a non-zero return code if it runs out of storage. All help much appreciated.
