My use of CMS Pipelines may be different than yours. I do write pipelines that actually make it to customers. And since we don't require our customers to get plastic pipes, I specifically code those such that they runs on built-in plumbing. But 90% of the pipelines that I write do not leave the premises. I use them to analyse data, run integrity checks over my source code, serve web pages, etc. It would be a waste of time to restrict myself all the time to use 15-year old plumbing. When you have small children, it helps to be aware of the difference in communication skills. But it does not mean you could not have an adult conversation anymore with others (or yourself, in fact). I consider CMSPIP-L to be such an adult audience where we want to learn new tricks that make us more productive. Exposing myself to plastic pipes does not decrease my ability to write compatible pipelines. Last time I checked, The Book had revision codes to show what's missing there. But if you're concerned that it would make you forget how to drive a car, then don't fly... ;-) | Rob
