No need to worry about that--the built-in ones are resolved first. Just watch out for collisions with other filter packages, or with your REXX stages. One important related stage is built into the main module but not documented: UNPACKX is a front-end to both UNPACK and UNTERSE. It's a little quirky in handling concatenated files: It will UNTERSE a series of TERSEd files, but once it finds a PACKed file it just passes the rest to UNPACK, so a TERSEd file following a PACKed file won't be UNTERSEd. ¬R
