Well, that's what PIPEDDR uses to support FTP, and I know it works
fine to and from a Linux FTP server.  Maybe your fixes did get picked
up.  Since those stages are not supported by z/VM except for
intallation, we don't know what improvements have been made.  Probably
the latest version of these stages would be found in the INSTPIPE
MODULE on MAINT on the latest release of z/VM.
