That got me too!   "not fanout".   I know what a "not" and a "fanout" does, but 
the "not fanout" is not intuitive.

I could have written the "joincont" pipeline, eventually, but never the 
"not fanout" one.
I had to use pipedemo, read and re-read the "not" and "fanout" helps to 
understand it.

I love this "not fanout".
