I didn't explicit the fact that when there was no match, I didn't want
my input to get to the output (I want to treat theses lines separately).
So, I think I'm not after a "left outer join". Maybe an "inner join" ?...

Well, I shouldn't have asked my question this way ("Is there an idiom ...").
We've got non-pipeline programs to do this combining task, I already had
to do it a few times, and even painfully wrote a too-long-stage to do it
: I thought that enrich a file with another one was a very common task,
and that "everyone" already had a known pipeline-idiom to do it !

Are you after what the SQL chaps call a LEFT OUTER JOIN?
