And happy holidays to you too! No offense taken, I was simply reading more into the description of the "n+" syntax than is actually in the help. I should have realized you'd have used the same input-range parser as elsewhere. Once I deciphered the error message I could see that what was going on was as you described. Perhaps my subject was ill-considered, and this should have fallen into the WIBNI category.
