Lookup is rarely the wrong solution ;-)   Normally when I have something
like that, I can duplicate the master records to have one for each key (say
when you have a number of alias names for a the master). But then, I've
also done wildcard lookup by generating a master for each of them ...
If you can't point at the detail, you'd use the same trick (with
fanout/juxtapose)
