I thought I had lost it the other day when I wrote a simple spec to add
up the duplicates from several files summarized by UNIQUE COUNT, and
came out with too-small or completely missing counts. I finally
realized I was overlaying the right-hand digit with another item that
happened to start with a blank.

Anybody else still get caught by this every time? I wonder if it would
help any to add a note to the SPECREF under PRINT and PICTURES
emphasizing that the sign makes the default picture one byte longer than
what SPECS NUMBER and every other stage's COUNT produces.
