I find Firefox very useful for that sort of debugging - it may be that
a different style than you realised is overriding the styles you want.
Open the page in FF, do a tools-> DOM Inspector then drill down to the
element of interest and view CSS Style Rules in the right hand pane
(drop down on the icon) and see what it tells you is actually being
used.
I'm assuming its not some bizarre problem with TinyMCE (which I haven't
used), but a cascade issue is probably more likely...

Hi Lea,
Been spinning my wheels looking at this... I don't really understand what's
going on in FF or where to really look.
I did find buried deep the tinymce link colours with the CSS background
referring to my style sheet... I haven't been able to find this anywhere
when searching the tinymce though...
I would really like once and for all to work this out (I'm sick of saying
to clients that the links are wrong in the editor), if anyone has tinymce
experience and can point me in the direction I'd really appreciate it.
Many thanks
8-)
Vicki
