Hello José
In the dashboard where you write posts you have a quicktag called "more"
that can be used to create an extended portion of a post. Simply insert
that < !--more-- > where you would like to break the entry and WordPress
will do the rest.
However, WCAG (http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/) guidelines forbid
multiple examples of the same link text going to different places (which
is what happens with the default more code) so have a read of Bruce
Lawson's post where he explains it clearly:

A comment by Derek Featherstone:
http://www.brucelawson.co.uk/2005/wordpress-php-help-wanted/#comment-112
explains how to fix it and it certainly worked for me
(http://chasingdaisy.com/2005/11/29/accessible-extended-posts-in-wordpress/)
and I'm new to WordPress and php.
