best to be absolutely clear with the client that paying for a full
blown CMS when all they want is to update their contact details, if
they change, sometime!
very true - often the client thinks that they will be updating more than
they actually are. I know I have build sites for clients that don't
utilise the CMS in any meaningful way. But then there are others that
are constantly being added to, which is satisfying.
maintenance contracts with clearly defined fallback plans are a good
thing - they keep you in touch with the client and give the client
confidence for the future.
