I installed cmucl-18e-linux-xf86*.tar.bz2 on SUSE Linux. I included $ROOT/bin in PATH. But cmucl does not start except when I invoke it under $ROOT/bin. Related to it. when I start slime in emacs, it also produces error messages and stop. I tried trial version of ACL 6.2 and there were no problem in either strating lisp and Slime. Any advice?
