this is just a tip (i had a similar problem with code that compiled in cmu running inside a debian system and not in my system inside Redhat 7.3) try to download the latest binary for cmu - something like: "cmucl-20021219-x86-linux.tar.bz2" and try it again... i'm not sure that will work but before the gurus could answer, try it to see if it solves your problem... rodrigo
