That is stupid.  For example when I have been to Germany not all
Germans spoke, or wanted to speak, English so what little German I
spoke came in very handy.  And as time went by my German got better, I
was there for 3 weeks so my German was never good.  By your logic I
would have been better off learning Chinese.
