Ok, having followed the directions correctly this time, this is my result, upon
typeing (inspect *package*) Two windows popped up, where you'd expect to see text
instead there were squares of the type that seem common when the system doesn't
recognize the characters it's being fed. Motifd gave several screens of output, but
it seemed to be very similar stuff, the initial lines were as follows:

Accepting client on Inet socket.
Accepted client on fd 6
swap_bytes is: 0 (from 1)
packet_read: Receiving packet --
packet_read: serial = 0
packet_read: length = 48
packet_read: This is packet 1 of 1
Opening display on ':5900.0' for app 'lisp' class 'Lisp'
get_input: Receiving incoming packet.
packet_read: Receiving packet --
packet_read: serial = 1
packet_read: length = 40
packet_read: This is packet 1 of 1
Dispatching request for 109
packet_send: Sending packet --
packet_send: serial = 1
packet_send: length = 24
packet_send: this is packet 1 of 1
Request for 109 dispatched, must_confirm: 0

One distinct difference I've noticed between the manual and automatic startup is with
the manual startup will_fork is set to true, but the automatic says false, I don't
know if it is relevant, but thought it may be worthy of note. Are there any ideas,
why it seems to be able to call the window when I start the server by hand, but not
automatically, and why when it does it can't find the font? Again, thank you all for
your patience with this newbie.

-Frank
