All, 1. Given a file with size > MAX-POSITIVE-FIXNUM attempting to position to a point at or beyond MAX-POSITIVE-FIXNUM generates an error. Whereas reporting the position is not a problem. E.g., (FILE-POSITION IN) works even when the position is > MAX-POSITIVE-FIXNUM. However, (FILE-POSITION IN (FILE-POSITION IN)) will generate an error. If I read the spec right this should work.
