I mounted mine on the aft table leg down below. Low and near the center of
the boat.
works well with the addition of the rudder position sensor.

Where is the best place to mount the compass for a RayMarine 4000+ ? It is
currently mounted right beside the Display/Keypad which is on the Port Cockpit
bulkhead between the Propane locker seat and the Port cockpit seat. Seems like
it should be mounted further down closer to the centre line per the
instructions.
