The outlet should not reduce the full capacity of the pumps working in tandem. I believe a single line outlet might just do that. It also puts all your pumping outlet eggs in one basket (failures happen). Corsair's configuration; 2 pumps (one working, one alarmed and high capacity when first cannot keep up), 2 hoses and 2 above the waterline outlets. Redundancy in this matter is a good thing. David F.
