Aaron, Yes they look loose, but not horribly so (to me). I wonder if the spreaders would have been more stable with the main up and a load aft? Assuming the mast is straight, I't take a few turns on each shroud and go for another sail. I don't know if the spreaders are on pins and are meant to move, but it would not be unusual.
