Alex I have a 5 lb propane tank under each helm seat. These tanks are in aluminum buckets so to speak with bottom drains connected by hosing to thruhulls about a foot above the water line. The covers were made to fit snug but are easily removed to access the tanks...I always turn the gas off at the tank when we are finished with the stove and should any leak develop in the storage compartments the overboard drains let the propane escape down through the thruhulls
