I think Plexiglas and Acrylic are the same.  Consensus is you need cast
Acrylic, seems like McMaster Carr has this in small cuts. I have Lexan
(Polycarbonate) and it dulls and scratches easily, but is better if you
think someone will be shooting bullets at you. This is available in a UV
grade if you look hard enough.

I think If I was doing mine again, I would look for thick tempered Glass.

Someone please remind me again what I should be using to replace the lens in
the forward hatch.  Plexiglass, Lexsan, poly acrylic  ?  I used plexiglass
last time and it crazed around the edges where I had to wipe off excess
Sikens.
