Richard,

Mine was made by Sportech, a local supplier who has done all the canvas work
on Perception except the sails. Let me know off list if you need more info
.......

Russ or Paul, I would be very interested in the name of the company that
made your cover, thanks

Hi Danny,

The boat I crew on for racing has one of those covers on a loose footed
main. The cover has a bolt rope sewn in the bottom which goes inot the boom
slot. We stow the lazy jacks against the mast and roll the cover against
to boom when sailing.

On the C&C I chartered a few years ago (BVIs, <insert heavy sigh>) we just
left it up 'cause we were cruising.

        Cheers, Russ

Hm... I stand corrected!

How does that work? Isn't it sewn to the foot of the sail?

I have one, and a loose footed main. I can remove the cover if I want for
racing, or roll it and strap it to the boom.

For cruising I just leave it setup.

Hi Liz,

I think doyle started these and they call it a stack pack. All the canvass
shops will make you one and call it something a little different. Keep in
mind you can't have a loose footed sail and it becomes part of your sail. I
asked about these when I was shopping for new sails and decided against it.
I figured a lazy jack system and a regular sailcover was best for me. I
guess I wanted them to be separate. I only met one guy that had one and he
raved about it. However, he was hoping I would buy his boat at the time.

Good evening!

I'm wondering what these 'new' (new to me) sail cover and bag are called.

I have seen them on several sailboats old and new this season and I'm told
by one owner that your main sail is sewn into the bottom of this bag and
when you drop it the sail falls into the bag and when it's closed it looks
like an ordinary sail cover.

Replaces the lazy jacks for sure and it looks great!

I would really like to investigate for Mistral but I forgot to ask what it
is actually called.

If anyone knows....it would be the 'list guys'!

Love all the chat back and forth and all the info!

Many thanks!

Liz
