Whether I use "plyboo" or teak and holly, what is the most optimum installation procedure, screwing and or bonding right on to the existing floor? With respect to finish, I think that you'd have to waterproof the backside, because the floor I saw had staining and deterioration coming from within. I would imagine that some of the non marine polyurethane's like Fabulon would be hard enough to withstand blows from dropped winch handles etc. but not sure about traction. Also heard about a varnish that looks smooth, but grips on pressure being applied.
