Woody Wax it intended for decks, I think.

I bought some several years ago, but decided against using it because I was
afraid it would be a problem when I re-paint - Not cheap,

I guess I probably didn't have to say that, did I?

I used Sure Step on my old boat and I was happy with the results. Didn't
have the boat that long so can't comment but I wax my car every year so I
would think a yearly application is normal.

Aurora makes a wax for non-skid, called Sure Step. I tried it once -- can't
remember the year but it was a long time ago. It worked *great* but didn't
last more than a year.

The major caveat: My old gelcoat sucked that stuff up like a sponge, and I
went through an unbelievable amount of it, making the job a very expensive
learning experience. Given that it only lasted a year, I decided that it
would be much cheaper to put down new non-skid.

I do have another question. Do any of you use a wax or something similar on
the non-skid to seal it and make it easier to clean? Is there anything that
prevents it from being slippery?
