I run all water from the tanks through a whole-house size charcoal canister filter before the pump. I remove the cartridge when I winterize the boat and put a new one in in the spring after I have chased all the antifreeze out if the system. No taste issues that rum or scotch won't cover up.

Question: Is anyone running filters? I have a carbon filter in the line to the head sink and it seems to work well for a couple months and then start making the water worse instead of better. Is there a better way to do this?
