I prefer the interior layout of the 1989 37/40 with an aft cabin queen sized 
bed to the 1980 40 footer, which is much narrower in the stern. You pay a 
little more, but resale will be better. There was a 37R wich is pretty spartan, 
and full cruise 37plus and a 37XL . They were built in light racey 8 ft deep 
keel versions and centerboard versions too.
