Joel

I have currently ST60 speed, ST60 depth, busted ST60 wind (in basement -
never installed) and Std Horizon C180 chartplotter. The C180 says has 2
NEMA inputs and 3 outputs and I have currently wired to my Std Horizon
DSC VHF successfully. Not sure what version NEMA teh C180 has but if I
understand you correctly I could use the C180 NEMA if 183 as is to the
new T033 wind display if I bought one with no additional gear needed.
This is interesting as I like the no wires to disconnect in mast idea
since I usually put mast up and down a couple times per year ....

Mike,

Yes. The plotter needs to have a 183 interface unless you want to buy a
183/2000 converter for a couple hundred bucks more. Ray won't say if
they have a 2000 interface in the works.
The E7 does have a 183 interface. I hope to buy the box in the spring.
There aren't enough wires in my NavPod!

        Thanks Joel

Do you need the same interface box to tie it in to SOG from a
Chartplotter?

Only if you buy the interface box for $420 or so. It is NMEA
183.

This seems to have a very good price point.

Does anyone here know if these can be connected to ST60
Speed instruments to report True Wind speed? Can Seatalk interface
somehow be used?

Ray bought TackTick last year and rebranded it.

Isnt that a Tacktick system? Did Defendermake
an oopsie or did
Raymarine copy the Tacktick system very closely?
The wind component
looks very similar to Tacktick T033

What do you guys think of this deal for a
Raymarine Wireless T038 (3)
                        Display Package for $1200?

My wind indicator doesn't work at all. The
display turns on and looks
fine but when I hook it up to the unit at the
top of the mast it goes
                        all haywire.

I'd prefer to fix what I have but they no longer
make the NavMan 3100
wind and I think it is pretty old.
