I connected the screw top of a plastic bottle to a hose coming from the
anchor well. When screwed on the bottle the drainage water is stored in
an easily accessible location.
A valve on the hose just before it is connected to the bottle top
enables me to stop the flow from the drain hose if it is full of water
when I disconnect the bottle. I've never needed to use the valve.
This setup has worked well for me - a dry locker, no smell, and keeps
the hull area dry for storage.
