Some years ago, I rebuilt a q-berth for a client and used pebble board to top 
it.  My thinking was the rough surface would allow moisture to exit from under 
the cushions.  Seemed to work fine but was a bear to stick down.  I used 
contact cement.  If I had it to do again, I'd use an adhesive formulated for 
pebble board and a v-notch trowel.


I also knew that the pebble board would be covered by the cushion.  Exposed 
pebble board reminds me of a restroom in a Waffle House.  :(
