The Yanmar panel on Alera is on the starboard side on the front
panel. I can bend down and see he gauges. The only issue I have had
is inadvertently stepping on the ignition key and bending the crap
out of it from time to time. I'll probably screw a little guard over
it eventually, so I don;t end up breaking the damned this off, which
could be a real PITA!
My fuel gauge is a little useless, but still better than what I had
on our old 35 MK 1, which didn;t work at all. Alera's shows empty
when she is still 1/2 full...at least that's what I think. It's
showing empty right now and I'm pretty sure she has at least 8 gal.
left. But I'll carry down a with a few gallons, just to make sure I
don;t run out on my way to my next fill up.
This is my first diesel...is gas station diesel different from
marine, like is it with gas?
BTW...nice ass...

They work, but they're worn and kinda ugly. The panel is fine. I
just don't like the location -- not that I'm sure where I would move it to.
All the best,
Edd
