        There were three models of the 34 and 37 in the late 80's/early 90's. 

        The 34R and the 37R were bother racing versions, with very spartan 
interiors 
        
        The 34+ and 37+ were cruiser/racers with walk-around queen beds in the 
aft cabins and more robust interiors. 

        The 34XL and the 37XL were cruisers with similar layouts as the Plus 
boats but with more amenities.

        As I understood it, when Rob Ball added some fiberglass to the bows and 
sterns of each model to make them look better, the LOA went to 26 and 40 
respectively. Some marketing campaigns listed them as the 34/36 and the 37/40.
