Allstate - from what I can tell and I have them for my house - might insure a fishing boat in your driveway, but wants nothing to do with "yacht insurance". I have been very happy with BOATUS insurance.

They told me they could not quote a policy because the underwriter will not insure a boat of more than 34 feet for coastal use. Has anyone heard of anything like this before? It makes absolutely no sense to me and I am not sure if it is worth pursuing in case something was lost in translation.
