The active ingredient in the stripper for PolyGlow and Newglass is ammonium hydroxide.
As a tip from a friend who works at a boatyard, I learned that they use "Purple Power" purchased from the automotive section at Wal-Mart for $2.98 a gallon instead of the PolyGlow stripper, which is something like $40 a quart. The cleaning agent in "Purple Power" is ammonium hydroxide. I have some liquid to remove it, but if I need more I recall that someone on our list gave a homemade solution. Any suggestions what I should use?
