If a site has a lot of traffic then Stu could certainly sell some advertising. I'd imagine Defender, West Marine or Binnacle might be interested in paid links. That said I don't think it would work for an email list -- works better in a forum set up where we are accessing a central page and the advertisements can roll across the screen.
