Stu

I am thankful that neither you nor Gladys were home at the time of this
invasion. That would have made things a whole lot worse

Good luck on rebuilding your life and your peace of mind. I think we
all know someone who has been through this and that is the most
difficult part

Best wishes

Mike

Subject: Stus-List Photo Album Update 2

Gladys and I want to thank everyone for the kind words of support to
help us through our problems. It is really encouraging to both of us.
We are slowly pulling everything together but the invasion of our
personal lives is something that will take a while.

The insurance companies, adjusters and restoration contractors have been
amazing and things are going well. Most of our losses are covered by
the insurance to some extent. It is not about the losses financially,
but we will never replace the years of photographs taken, the train
collection, and data (such as our family trees that took years to
accumulate). We will replace the tv, computer, Wii, etc. and may be
better than before. But it will take countless hours to install new
software, setups, and redesigning some of the C&C items.

The C&C Photo Album is safe and secure - all I have to do is get the
proper links, and security information programmed into the computer.
The software for designing the decals, burgees and anything with the C&C
Logo was proprietary software designed for a particular machine and not
generic. The software will be replaced and just hope if it is a new
version, it will work with the old machine and a new operating system.
Thanks for offers to help redesign but it is actually and one on one
thing.

As for adding any type of advertising or revenue generating pop-ups on
the Photo Album - na da. I have maintained the site for many years
without advertising or Google Adsense links and I expect to keep it that
way. I find that kind of advertising is annoying and try to stay away
from sites that have it. Asking a commercial company to advertise is
more work - putting their link on the site, setting fees, sending
renewal notices and keeping accounting records is not something I want.
So the Photo Album will stay advertisement free.

Again, both of us want to say THANK YOU for your support. We will make
it through the rough storm and maybe be a bit stronger in the long run.

Thanx everyone

Stu 'n' Gladys
