I put a spinnaker crane on top of the mast the last time I had it down. Bought from RigRite, NY. Pricey but a solid piece of stainless with room for 2 spinnaker blocks. While I was at it, I replaced the sheaves up there too, to all rope sheaves from a place in Port Townsend. Sam Salter C&C 26. Liquorice Ghost Lake Alberta sam :-) 403-617-6280
My 1985 29-2 is rigged with two internal halyards to the masthead: Main and genny. Genny is flown from a roller furler.
I know I need to get up there and look close and personal, but thought I would ask if any have experience in adding a third halyard, I am thinking external to the mast? At this time it would be used to hoist a sock over the genny, but might serve as a spin halyard in the future.
Thanks,
John McLaughlin
